# Heat pump performance map worksheet

Equipment / revision:
Data source and test method:
System boundary (which fans, defrost, auxiliary heat, and controls are included):
Indoor entering condition / airflow:
Heating design condition and load source:

| Mode | Outdoor dry-bulb °C | Indoor condition | Compressor stage / speed | Delivered heat kW | Total electric kW | COP | Defrost / backup notes | Data source |
| --- | ---: | --- | --- | ---: | ---: | ---: | --- | --- |
| Heating | | | | | | | | |
| Heating | | | | | | | | |
| Heating | | | | | | | | |

COP = delivered heat rate / electrical input at the **same boundary**. Distinguish steady-state test points from integrated operation with defrost. Keep minimum and maximum capacity distinct where variable-speed control applies.

## Decisions and limitations

- Heating load versus available capacity at each condition:
- Temperature where supplemental heat is needed, if any:
- Backup heat capacity and control assumption:
- Range of measured or validated interpolation:
- Conditions outside the map that need new tests:
- Power components omitted from the map:
- Measurement uncertainty and model error:

This worksheet is for engineering analysis. Do not treat filled-in values as product certification results without the relevant test procedure and evidence.
